Pat Mbugua is the Head, Legal, Client Coverage, CCIB, East Africa at Standard Chartered Bank Kenya Limited, where she leads her team in providing differentiated customer service.

With over 20 years’ post-qualification experience, with previous roles at EADB, Bank of Africa and Walker Kontos, Pat has been recognised as a strategic business enabler in the financial services industry. She represented Standard Chartered globally in the Institute of International Finance Future Leaders Class of 2021.

Inspired by her passion for community impact, Pat volunteers as a mentor, and has served in the Advisory Committee of the Financial Resilience Economic Empowerment (FREE) Fund managed by Women Win to support sustainable economic ventures for adolescent girls and young women.

Outside of her professional life, Pat sings in the Twakutukuza Choir to help raise support for cancer patients, and is a certified mental health first aider with Mental Health First Aid England.
